About Me

Choosing Healthier Food How long has it been since you ate a truly healthy meal? Although you might feel like you are a pretty healthy eater, it can surprise some people how many things they consume that aren't really that great for them. I began focusing more and more on choosing healthier food a few months back, and it was interesting to me to see how much better I felt simply by watching my intake. I wanted to start a great little blog all about being healthy and cooking in a way that lowers total calorie consumption, so I made this website. Check it out to improve your day!

Are you finally getting to use your baking and cooking skills at your very own bed and breakfast inn? Perhaps you have a passion for making things like cinnamon rolls, and maybe you are known for the delicious homemade cookies and fabulous pizzas that you make from scratch. If baking is your specialty, then you are more than likely outfitting your bed and breakfast kitchen with the items you'll need the most. From purchasing things like pizza pans to organizing your baking supplies, here are some ideas that might help you.

Make A List - Think of your specialty baking goods and plan your shopping list accordingly. For example, if you will be serving mini pizzas with ingredients your guests select, you'll need to purchase mini pizza pans. On the other hand, perhaps you'll be making huge pizzas for a pizza buffet meal. If that's the case, order several of the largest pizza pans you can find. Think of buying large cookie sheets, too.

By doing so, you can probably arrange a large batch of cookie dough on just one cookie sheet, or two, at the most. Have you ever used the muffin tins that are designed to bake just muffin tops? If not, that's something you might want to consider ordering. Perhaps they would double for huge cupcakes, too.

Organize Supplies - Think of purchasing shelves that don't go all the way to the ceiling. If you buy the extra tall ones, it will just be hard for you to access things on the higher shelves and the only thing that will accumulate will be dust. Have you ever used a Lazy Susan before? Think of buying small models that you can keep in cupboards and a larger one that you can keep on the top of your working area. The small one might hold spices and other ingredients that you don't use all the time, while the large Lazy Susan will more than likely be perfect for holding ingredients you use every day.

Think of buying attractive beer steins to hold things like wooden spoons and other long-handled cooking utensils. Of course, you'll also be using lots of dish towels as you cook and clean. Think of putting several towel racks on the wall so that you can access the dish towels whenever you need to reach for one. Another idea is to keep your cleaning brushes right in your dishwasher so that they can be cleaned right along with your dishes.
